We use different package names for various states of build – com.appprod.android, com.apptest.android etc. Can we use one license for multiple builds of the same app with different package names? Only one is ever in production, but we need to have the PDF function live for all our testing.

    thx

    Hello D Cohen,

Thank you for your interest in our product. We will regard your case as a single app. Therefore you can use a single license for builds of the same app.

    Best regards,

    Dr. Plug

    Hi Dr. Plug,

I work with D Cohen above, and I don’t think the license we purchased for our production app can be used with our test or QA apps. It seems to be tied to the package name itself, and when we try to initialize the PlugPDF library using the license we purchased BUT in our test app (which has a different package name), we get this exception:

    com.epapyrus.plugpdf.core.PlugPDFException$LicenseMismatchAppID

What should we do? We only have 1 app that will be in production, but we need our apps to have different package names for testing purposes (we have the production app, the QA app, and the test app all installed simultaneously on many devices). We’d rather not purchase an unlimited license.

    Thanks.
