Hi, I’m using the OpenSans font (http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/open-sans) in my PDF, and when I view the PDF using PDFPlug the text spacing looks poor compared to when I view the PDF in Google Drive.

    PlugPDF: http://imgur.com/XmAJyRE
    Google Drive: http://imgur.com/5lnuhqg

Notice the large amount of horizontal space between the “m” and “o” in “Amount” in the PlugPDF version.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Hi Alex,

There is a way to set the path of the font resource directory. If you set this path, you can get a better view with the PlugPDF SDK.
I suggest that you place the font files you want to install under the ‘assets/resource/Fonts’ path. After that, please call the ‘PlugPDF.deployAssetFontResource(getApplicationContext());’ method of the PlugPDF class just after the ‘PlugPDF.init(…)’ method.

    Thanks!

    OK, I will try that.

But, why does Plug PDF reader text so terribly vs Google Drive or Adobe PDF reader?

Also, my fonts in in “/assets”, will that work?

Ok, I put my fonts in assets/resource/Fonts, and called PlugPDF.deployAssetFontResource, and I get this exception:

    (see: http://imgur.com/zK25jwu)

    That’s great news!

    1. When will the fix be available?

    2. Which issue did they fix?
    A. Poor font rendering
    B. Crash when calling deployfonts
